Job summary

Medtronic in Lafayette, Colorado is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical engineering activities in the Released Product Engineering team for Surgical Hardware. You will guide mixed-signal design, system integration, and product development with a focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, quality, and manufacturing teams, mentor engineers, and drive cost optimization, ECOs, and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in mixed-signal board design and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, verification, and validation of mixed-signal electrical systems.
• Define hardware architectures balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost.
• Review electrical designs, schematics, test plans, ECOs, and qualification strategies.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional engineering excellence.
