Job summary

Raytheon in Goleta, CA seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to design and develop Electronic Warfare electronics for defense applications, spanning mixed-signal, FPGA, SoC, and subsystem work.

You will act as SME in one subdiscipline, lead hardware architectures, perform schematic capture, validation, and lab testing, support radar receivers, and collaborate with mechanical and systems engineers on multiple programs onsite.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with extensive experience in electronic hardware.
• Experience capturing schematics, layouts, and validating FPGA-based systems.
• Familiar with high-speed signal integrity and power delivery networks.
• Experience with industry tools such as Mentor Xpedition, MATLAB and SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mixed-signal circuits and subsystems.
• Be SME in at least one subdiscipline and guide others.
• Perform hardware architecture, schematic capture, analysis, and lab validation.
• Support radar receivers and EW products with RF familiarity.
• Create requirements, design artifacts, verification and test plans.
• Lead cross-disciplinary technical teams and collaborate on programs.
• Occasional travel may be required.
