Job summary

PROCEPT BioRobotics in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced Sr Staff/Principal Electrical Engineer to lead analog design, power electronics, and complex PCBA development for medical devices. You will own electrical architecture, mentor engineers, coordinate across firmware, mechanical, test, and manufacturing, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires 12+ years in electrical engineering, a BS in EE (advanced degree preferred), and hands-on lab work with power supplies, EMI, and DFx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 12+ years related experience and/or training.
• Power supply and high voltage design experience; motor controls.
• Mixed signal (analog and digital) design with microcontroller systems.
• DFx: design for signal integrity, EMI, test, manufacturing, yield, usability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and document electrical systems for PROCEPT products.
• Lead electrical architecture for new products and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Support regulatory testing and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure producibility and manufacturability of electrical designs.
