This role focuses on designing and leading high‑speed digital circuit card assemblies (CCAs) for ground, airborne, and space platforms. It requires U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret security clearance.

What You Will Do
  • Electronic Circuit Design – design high‑speed digital CCAs from requirements through schematic capture, PCB layout, integration, and production.
  • Technical Mentoring – mentor hardware engineers on high‑speed digital design principles, PCB layout techniques, and best practices.
  • Signal & Power Integrity (SI/PI) Optimization – ensure robust SI/PI via advanced modeling, simulation, and hardware validation.
  • Design Optimization – champion Design-to-Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) principles to ensure producible, cost‑effective, and testable designs.
  • Hardware Verification & Test Support – perform hardware integration and Design Verification Testing (DVT), support Product Qualification Testing, factory production, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – serve as the primary technical interface to Systems, Software, and Mechanical Engineering teams and to leadership and customers.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Expertise in high‑speed digital design for complex multilayer PCBs (12+ layers) with DFM/DFT, PCB fabrication, controlled impedance, board assembly, and design verification testing knowledge.
  • End‑to‑end circuit card development experience – from concept to production, including requirements, schematic capture, layout, bring‑up, and integration.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, or Altium Designer.
  • Hands‑on SI/PI analysis experience with tools such as HyperLynx, ADS, or SPICE.
  • A STEM degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret).
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of high‑speed protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, and high‑speed memory interfaces.
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience for cost, schedule, and risk management of hardware projects.
  • Experience preparing estimates, bids, and proposals.
  • Previous work in a defense or aerospace company.
  • Agile for Hardware Development experience, including Scrum Master/Product Owner roles and proficiency with JIRA.
