Job summary

Echodyne is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical architecture and lifecycle for the accessory portfolio in Kirkland, WA. You will guide concept through production release, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability for Echodyne’s radar accessories.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive COTS and vendor co‑development, ensure EMI/EMC and safety compliance, and mentor engineers while advancing reusable architectures and development practices.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field and extensive hardware development experience.
Experience defining electrical architecture, interfaces, and requirements for complex products.
Willingness to handle export‑controlled information and ITAR/EAR considerations.

Responsibilities

Own the electrical architecture, interfaces, and requirements for accessory products and programs.
Define and drive electrical solutions from concept through detailed design and production release.
Lead COTS, build‑to‑print, and vendor co‑development solutions with clear interfaces and acceptance criteria.
Oversee electrical integration, verification, qualification, and release readiness including EMI/EMC, electrical safety, and reliability.
Support NPI, production, and sustaining changes by resolving cross‑functional issues.
