Our energy resilience division focuses on leveraging Booz Allen's leadership and expertise in Defense requirements to deliver the best solutions capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding, innovative, and cutting-edge clients in the federal government.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for driving our team's delivery of energy system design services to clients focused on increasing energy resilience on their military installations. You will provide te chn ical leadership in critical emerging energy te chn ologies like advanced nuclear reactors, hydrogen storage and fuel cell generation, chemical and physical energy storage, DC transmission and distribution systems, and distributed resource integration. Your team will be responsible for analyzing and developing solutions to energy resilience gaps, espe cia lly related to integrating on-site resources into microgrids for energy independence.

In this role, you’ll also be responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, or producing reports related to advanced energy systems. To this end, you'll need to employ your knowledge of electrical theory and materials properties. You'll also need to apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to development of new methods of adapting te chn ology solutions to meet complex energy requirements.The ability to operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision will be critical.This is a chance to use your engineering skills while contributing to national security. You Have:

15+ years of experience in aprofessional work environment

Knowledge of the International Building Code ( IBC ) , ASHRAE standards, Unified Facilities Criteria ( UFC ) , NEC, NFPA, or IEEE

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Master's degree in EE

Professional Engineering ( PE ) license

Nice If You Have:

Experience designing or building energy systems

Experience with transmission and distribution architectures, energy storage design, and power system hardware design tools, including EasyPower, SKM, or ETAP

Experience working with Department of Defense, utilities, commer cia l industry, or federal agencies

Experience with Department of Navy installations, processes, and personnel

Experience te chn ically leading and delivering large-scale energy solutions

Experience preparing reports studying power systems, microgrids, and other utility systems

Knowledge of sustainable building design, building optimization, and clean energy te chn ologies

Ability to work cross-functionally partnering with finance, business operations, marketing, and engineering

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
