Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is seeking a Principal Material Process Engineer - EEEE parts/components to join the Sentinel program in Manhattan Beach, CA. This role focuses on selecting and applying EEEE components in collaboration with design engineers.

You will work with manufacturing and suppliers, review BOMs, and ensure qualification and test processes. US citizens with DoD Secret clearance and SAP access are required; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of experience.
• 3 years with Master’s Degree.
• Experience in military/space electronics design or manufacturing.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) as a condition of continued employment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with design engineers in selection and application of EEEE parts, including Microcircuits, Connectors, Passive Devices, and PCB Boards.
• Create Component Specifications or Source Control Documents to meet Program Requirements.
• Work with manufacturing and Component vendors to resolve qualification, producibility, and test issues with parts and Circuit Card Assemblies.
• Review Bill-of-Materials, new part approval requests, and part attributes in a Product Lifecycle Management System.
• Support Supply Chain with component procurement requirements, selection of suppliers, and resolution of procurement issues and related processes.
• Support Program Subcontractors with EEEE Part requirements interpretation and review of SDRLs.
