Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Material Process Engineer for the Sentinel program in Huntsville, AL. You will manage part, material, and process design documentation, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure traceability to system performance.

The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain DoD Secret and SAP clearances, plus Level 2 radiographic inspection certification. A 9/80 schedule and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university.
• 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years with Master's, or 0 with PhD.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of design parts management to ensure risk identification and mitigation during design and manufacturing of weapon systems.
• Develop test/data analysis strategies for large scale aerospace components.
• Create, analyze, and present roadmaps and reports to stakeholders and upper management.
• Coordinate with systems, design, reliability engineers and customers to ensure traceability to system performance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models; understand material properties and failure modes.
