Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Principal Material Process Engineer to lead parts, materials and process engineering for the Sentinel program. Expect collaboration with systems and design engineers to ensure traceability and compliance across manufacturing and acquisition activities.

Qualifications include a materials STEM degree, 5+ years of experience (or a Master's with 3+ years), and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 3 years.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance where required.
• Strong written and oral communication for test plans and briefings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
• Experience reviewing & approving materials and processes.
• Experience leading projects and proficient in MS Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Manage full spectrum of design parts management to identify risks during design/manufacture.
• Develop manufacturing control and cost‑saving analysis strategies for aerospace components.
• Create roadmaps, impact and issue reports; present data to stakeholders and mgmt.
• Research specifications and standards to support part/material/process engineering.
• Coordinate with IP teams and provide status to program leadership.
• Collaborate with systems/design/reliability engineers and customers for traceability.
