Jerpbak Bayless Machining in Solon, OH, is seeking a Principal Dimensional Quality Specialist for multi-axis machining. You will lead first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure tight tolerances and high-quality surfaces on complex CNC parts.

You will interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer requirements, using CMMs, optical comparators, profilometers, and precision gauges to verify microfinish and dimensions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in precision CNC inspection.
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T comprehension.
• Proficiency with advanced metrology and precision gauges.

• Comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with machinists and engineers on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Execute first piece, in-process, and final inspections on precision CNC parts.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T; compare to engineering specs and customer requirements.
• Use optical comparators, profilometers/surface finish testers, height/bore/thread gauges, micrometers, calipers, and related metrology.
• Confirm microfinish and dimensional compliance; record inspection data and maintain quality reports.
• Identify nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and assist in corrective actions.
• Support FAIs, capability studies, and customer documentation packages.
