Job summary

You’ll also update calibration records and coach peers in measurement methods. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in manufacturing/quality assurance, strong geometry, and hands-on calibration experience, plus proficiency with MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in manufacturing and/or quality assurance.
• Fluent in blueprint reading and use of precision metrology tools.
• Solid math and geometry fundamentals.
• Hands-on calibration experience (required).
• Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Background in bevel gear manufacturing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Verify first piece, fine-tune PC-DMIS routine and validate features on Hofler gear inspection machine.
• Update calibration records and coach teammate on measurement methods.
• Wrap up ISIR for a customer and support PPAP submissions.
• Quarantine and disposition nonconforming product; support corrective actions.
• Organize and maintain quality documentation and customer files.
• Participate in internal audits and supplier quality initiatives.
• Inspect incoming vendor materials and outgoing shipments.

What a day looks likePicture starting your shift on the production floor, shoulder-to-shoulder with machinists and engineers. You verify a first piece, fine-tune a PC-DMIS routine, and step over to a Hofler gear inspection machine to validate critical features. Before lunch, you update calibration records; by afternoon, you’re coaching a teammate on a best-practice measurement method and wrapping up an ISIR for a customer.
