Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Principal Project Manager (Digital) – Shockwave Medical to lead digital transformation initiatives in Santa Clara, CA. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive value realization across the organization.

The role requires deep experience in digital project management within the medical device sector, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in science, engineering or business administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 10+ years of digital project management experience and at least 5 years of project management experience in the medical device industry.
• 5+ years leading medical device enterprise software with a strong grasp of Quality System Management industry requirements.
• 5+ years managing enterprise system implementation teams and/or implementation vendors
• Project Management specific training and/or certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring process improvement initiatives, project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate organizational challenges, collaborate effectively, and achieve objectives through others.
• Outstanding verbal & written communication skills.
• High level of enthusiasm, motivation, and drive for results.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaborate within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional activities within the project and align with QMS, IT deployment best practices.
• Plan and manage projects with risk management and clear governance.
• Drive multiple parallel projects with matrixed teams and defined milestones.
• Oversee digital transformation project phases from problem statement to value realization.
• Publish dashboards and reports communicating progress, risk and achievements.
• Develop formal communications and deliver effective presentations.
• Mentor other Project Managers and share best practices.
• Create reusable materials and tools to improve digital project delivery.
