Job summary

Octave in Alpharetta, Georgia is seeking a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure and to manage the release process across development and operations teams. You will apply Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, automate deployments, and embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in DevSecOps or senior DevOps roles
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Experience with release management and deployment automation
• Proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
• Understanding of security best practices and security tools/frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure using IaC tools
• Collaborate with development and operations to integrate security into DevOps pipelines
• Automate and streamline deployment processes to improve efficiency
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues for high availability
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support CI/CD
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
• Stay up-to-date with DevSecOps, IaC, and Release Management trends
