Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer II to own the systems powering VetConnect PLUS. You will influence AWS/GCP infrastructure, pipelines in GitHub Actions, and observability with Datadog within a close-knit agile team.

You will lead the DXSE DevOps Squad, mentor engineers, and drive technical decisions while ensuring reliable delivery and operational excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of deployments with minimal outage windows.
• Experience building, deploying, and configuring full application stacks (Java Spring).
• Coding or scripting proficiency.
• Collaborative communication across teams.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration background.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software teams to deploy and operate systems.
• Work with business partners focusing on outcomes.
• Build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and operations tools.
• Troubleshoot issues across dev, test, and production environments.
• Promote frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
• Lead the DXSE DevOps Squad and set DevOps standards.
