Job summary

SHI International Corp. is expanding its Databricks capability within the Data and AI practice and seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the technical side of it.

You will work directly with customers to qualify opportunities, conduct technical discovery with customer architects, design target-state platforms, and own the technical win. The role focuses on platform build-out, migration, and consolidation moving from Hadoop and Spark estates to Databricks Lakehouse.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in lakehouse architecture and platform design.
• Deep expertise in migration and consolidation.
• Deep expertise in data engineering.
• Production machine learning and AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of Databricks pursuits: lead qualification, discovery, target architecture design, effort estimation, and risk assessment.
• Provide architectural oversight through delivery: review decisions and ensure alignment with scope and outcomes.
• Shape Databricks service offerings: define technical content, scope, success metrics, and repeatable delivery standards.
• Partner with Databricks: engage with Databricks field teams and specialists on joint customer accounts.
• Presales and governance: lead customer discussions, define scopes, develop proposals and SOWs, and collaborate with vendor architects.
