Job summary
SHI International is expanding its Databricks capability within the Data and AI practice and seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the technical side. You will work with customers from the outset, qualifying opportunities, performing technical discovery, and designing target-state platforms for Databricks Lakehouse migrations from Hadoop and legacy analytics environments.
You will own the technical win, shape offerings, and guide architecture decisions throughout delivery as a senior
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in lakehouse architecture and platform design.
- Enterprise migration and consolidation experience across Hadoop/Spark and warehouses.
- Production ML/AI experience with real deployments and governance awareness.
- Presales leadership: scope definition, proposals, and SOW development.
- Ability to collaborate with vendor teams and drive customer-aligned solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management in complex, multi-team environments.
Responsibilities
- Qualify opportunities, conduct technical discovery with customer architects.
- Design target-state Databricks architectures and estimate effort and risk.
- Create technical content for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Build and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders and ops teams.
- Provide architectural oversight and ensure delivery aligns with scope.
- Collaborate with Databricks teams and vendors to resolve technical issues.
