Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to guide the data strategy for Slack monetization within the Platform ecosystem. You will partner with the Platform product team to improve developers’ and users’ experiences while leading analytics that inform revenue growth and product direction.

You will work across data science, analytics, and GTM teams, translating complex findings for executives and shaping the roadmap for monetization initiatives on the Slack platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product data science with at least 2+ years in a tech lead or managerial role
• Strong track record of using data to influence product and business outcomes
• Proficient in SQL and one data science language (Python/R/Scala); knowledge of distributed data systems

Responsibilities

• Establish strong partnerships with product and business stakeholders
• Apply statistical methods, experimentation, segmentation, and forecasting to understand growth drivers
• Design measurement strategies and success metrics for products and initiatives
• Frame analyses to identify opportunities for revenue, adoption, and user journeys
• Partner with Data Engineering to build trusted datasets and scalable analytics foundations
• Set a compelling vision and prioritize work aligning with product strategies
• Collaborate with researchers and GTM teams to inform topline decisions
