Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead data efforts for Slack monetization strategy within the Platform Monetization group. You will partner with product, GTM, and Eng to uncover insights, define metrics, and guide decision-making that impacts topline growth.

You will oversee analyses of user behavior, revenue drivers, and adoption of platform capabilities, mentoring a team while partnering with product researchers and GTM partners to influence strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product data science or related field with tech emphasis
• Proven ability to drive product teams using data and influence company outcomes
• Strong SQL and at least one data science language (Python/R/Scala)
• Familiar with large-scale data tech (Spark/Presto/Hive/Hadoop) and workflows (Airflow)
• Clear communication of complex analytics to executives and cross-functional partners
• Experience partnering with Product, Sales, Finance, or GTM groups to shape strategy

Responsibilities

• Establish partnerships with product and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and roadmaps
• Apply statistics, experimentation, segmentation, and forecasting to understand behavior and GTM performance
• Design measurement strategies and success metrics for products and initiatives
• Frame analyses to identify opportunities for revenue growth and user engagement
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on trusted data foundations for modeling and experimentation
• Set a compelling vision and prioritize work aligned with business goals
• Coordinate with product researchers and strategy partners to influence topline decisions
