Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Data Scientist for Platform Monetization in the SF Bay Area. You will partner with product and business leaders to define roadmaps, drive experimentation, and forecast growth.

You’ll design metrics, deliver deep-dive analyses, and collaborate with Data Engineering to build scalable data foundations for advanced modeling and experimentation. You should bring 7+ years in product data science, 2+ years in DS leadership, and strong skills in SQL and Python/R/Scala,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product data science in tech industries.
• 2+ years in product DS tech lead or managerial role is a strong plus.
• Track record using data to drive product teams and outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one DS language (Python/R/Scala).
• Knowledge of distributed data platforms and big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities, roadmaps, and execution.
• Apply stats, experiments, segmentation, and forecasting to drive growth.
• Design measurement strategies for products, programs, and initiatives.
• Frame analyses to identify opportunities for revenue growth and user journeys.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on trusted datasets and scalable foundations.
• Set vision and prioritize work aligned with product strategies.
