Walmart is seeking a Principal Data Scientist, Market Intelligence, to shape strategic decisions through advanced analytics and AI. You will lead scalable data products, partner with executives, and translate complex data into actionable insight that guides growth and competitive moves.

You'll mentor data science peers, build AI-driven decision support, and communicate findings to both technical and business stakeholders, ensuring impact across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related analytical discipline with 4+ years of post-graduate experience or PhD with 2+ years post-graduate experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience building and scaling AI/LLM-powered agents for workflow automation and information extraction with guardrails and human-in-the-loop review
• Strong data engineering foundation with modular code, pipeline architecture, and performance optimization

Responsabilités

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for competitive analysis and growth
• Research, build, and deploy advanced statistical models and ML algorithms on structured and unstructured data
• Build scalable AI- and LLM-powered data products delivering impact for business partners at scale
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, visualizations, and presentations
• Guide and mentor junior data scientist team members
