Job summary

Google is seeking a Principal Engineer for the AI Foundry Data Quality team. You will set the technical direction for delivering high-quality datasets used for DeepMind and Search training at Google scale, collaborating with researchers and engineers across the company.

The role focuses on building reliable data pipelines and scalable architectures to support flagship products. You will drive the data flywheel concept, design robust metrics, and partner with infrastructure owners to ensure

Qualifications

• 15 years of software engineering experience building and operating systems in technology orgs.
• 7 years in a technical leadership role with/without direct reports.
• 5 years of experience developing and deploying ML models on data sets.
• 3 years infrastructure/data systems experience building or managing infra products.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, technical vision, and roadmaps for the data quality team.
• Shape data flywheel architecture for ML training data and Search Context.
• Collaborate with DeepMind/Search researchers, data analysts, and engineers to identify VoD signals.
• Partner with AI Foundry infrastructure owners to evolve crawl, processing, and enrichment pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance on large-scale signal development and quality metrics.
