Job summary

Sherwin-Williams seeks a Principal Practice Enterprise Architect, Data who sets enterprise data standards and roadmaps, guiding data platform choices and governance. You will work with data, analytics, security and privacy leaders as a peer to shape data products and AI readiness across portfolios.

You will lead architecture governance, mentor architects and drive patterns for lakehouse, data modeling, MDM and analytics at scale in a remote, US-wide role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or 18 years tech delivery experience.
• 15+ years in technology with 5+ years data engineering or software engineering and 5+ years in architecture/leadership.
• Production experience designing and governing enterprise data platforms at scale on Databricks, lakehouse patterns.
• 3+ years setting enterprise technology standards and platform decisions across teams.
• Hands-on Databricks and AI tooling experience; ability to evaluate platforms directly.
• Track record of influencing senior technical leaders as a peer and enforcing standards.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data standards, patterns and reference architectures for data platforms.
• Oversee data platform selection, storage, processing, MDM, analytics and data quality tooling.
• Define data governance guardrails with security and privacy in mind.
• Maintain the enterprise data platform roadmap and investment alignment.
• Review designs for conformance to data standards and advise architects.
• Ensure data foundation supports Enterprise AI initiatives and data products.
• Lead data architecture enablement and guidance across the architect community.
• Participate in architecture governance and provide strategic data insights.
