Job summary

BambooHR is seeking a Distinguished Architect to lead the Data Technology Architecture for the Bamboo Product. You will define the architectural vision for a multi‑tenant data platform, guiding data storage, security, and compliance across domains in collaboration with engineering leadership.

You will mentor engineers, drive ADR/RFC processes, and partner with Product and Engineering to align the strategy with business goals, while enabling self-service developer workflows and scalable data

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and operating data storage technology at scale in cloud‑native SaaS.
• Proven ownership of data movement through developer portals and partner onboarding/marketplaces; shipped versioning/deprecation programs and webhook/event architectures.

Responsibilities

• Set data storage vision and reference architectures for a resilient, multi‑tenant SaaS platform.
• Architect evolution of data storage technology including relational databases, replication, caching, and multi-tenancy.
• Modernize data architectures to support cloud-native patterns and future innovation.
• Collaborate with leadership to define product vision from a data‑architecture perspective.
