Job summary

T-Mobile is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to own data solutions end-to-end—from architecture to delivery—in a fast-paced AdTech environment. Build, run, and operate data platforms for audience building, rideshare, and retail media networks used by major agencies and brands in the United States.

You will lead data warehouse design, drive scalable analytics solutions, and mentor engineers while collaborating with multi-functional teams to solve complex data challenges and deploy cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related work experience or advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Fields of study include Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or related technical field.
• 7–10 years related experience as a Data Engineer.
• 5+ years developing cloud solutions using data services.
• Minimum 3+ years managing or leading/coaching data engineering teams.
• Experience designing and building self-service analytics and big data solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., EMR, Aurora, Redshift, Glue, S3, SWF, Quicksight).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of data warehouse and analytics solutions for scalable data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect data solutions meeting business needs.
• Research and recommend approaches for data migration, development, and integration challenges.
• Provide hands-on leadership in data implementation projects and manage independent workstreams.
• Facilitate workshops to align data engineering efforts with organizational goals.
• Mentor data engineers to develop skills in data architecture and engineering practices.
• Assist team management in project scoping, planning, and workload estimation.
