Job summary

Tenna is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to own data architecture across our connected equipment platform. You’ll design data systems, set standards, and guide engineering teams to scale our ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines.

You will partner with product and leadership to define data capabilities for AI/ML initiatives and ensure data quality across the organization. This is a high-impact, strategic role with broad scope.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• 2+ years of architectural direction and design oversight across multiple teams.
• Experience setting data architecture standards and providing technical oversight.

Responsibilities

• Owns organizational-wide data architecture; defines standards and patterns.
• Reviews designs for architectural consistency, performance, and scalability.
• Produces reference implementations and guides for complex data challenges.
• Designs and develops data pipelines, integrations, and platform features.
