We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and API integration to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep technical knowledge of SQL, and the ability to design and build efficient data models and data mart objects with complex logic. This role requires the ability to identify data patterns, optimize data workflows, secure data processing and implement scalable technology solutions.

The Work Itself

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Snowflake
  • Build and maintain data marts, ensuring efficient data structures that support business intelligence and analytics needs
  • Develop complex SQL queries for data transformation, aggregation, and reporting
  • Implement API integrations to ingest and process data from various external and internal sources
  • Assist in data modeling and ensure optimal storage, retrieval, and performance of large datasets
  • Analyze data patterns and trends to propose and implement technology-driven solutions for data quality, integrity, and performance improvements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within cloud-based data platforms
  • Participating in backlog grooming and refining user stories related to deliverables
  • Participate in Daily Standups -Provide updates on Engineering tasks, highlight progress, blockers and next steps
  • Assist in grooming technical stories for backlog as required
  • Participate in technical solutioning and Architecture design sessions
  • Plan and coordinate deployments, review runbooks, and test evidence
  • Create standard sustain documentation and schedule knowledge transfer (KT) meetings

Skills

The Skills You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Technology with strong SQL skills, including writing efficient and complex queries
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake or other related cloud-based data warehousing solution, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience with API development and integration for data ingestion
  • Experience in data modeling techniques (Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
  • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, XML, Parquet)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to detect data patterns and propose innovative solutions
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Python for data processing is a plus
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions
  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in real-time data replication with Qlik
  • Knowledge of data cataloging, data quality rules and lineage tools like Alation, Collibra, or Manta

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
