Job Details

• Responsibilities
• Design and implement the company's modern data stack, including infrastructure, pipelines, and security protocols.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple sources and formats.
• Define and monitor underwriting metrics, optimizing processes through experimentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to enhance data visibility and workflows.
• Communicate data-driven insights to inform key business decisions.
• Mentor future data team members and contribute to shaping a high-performing team culture.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity or leadership capacity
• Experience building and scaling data infrastructure from scratch (able to talk through examples)
• Proven experience managing large-scale data pipelines and integrating multiple data sources with varying cadences and formats.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data modeling and performance estimation at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud-based services, such as Snowflake.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and work across unfamiliar domains.
• Startup experience, particularly in early-stage fintech environments, is a plus.
• Founder experience is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership presence with a long-term, business-oriented vision for data infrastructure.
• Past experience as a Software Engineer is preferred, with strong foundational programming knowledge
