Job summary

Curaleaf, a leading cannabis company with a broad data organization, seeks a Principal Data & Analytics Engineer in Stamford, CT. You will shape the data and analytics platform, set standards, and deliver scalable data products across engineering, BI, and data science teams.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and work closely with the Director of Data & Analytics and business product owners to drive trusted analytics and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering or data architecture.
• Senior technical lead or principal engineer with cross‑team influence.
• Deep Snowflake expertise: architecture, security, workloads, cost.
• Strong SQL and Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with dbt, data models, and end‑to‑end data platform patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end data architecture across ingestion, Snowflake, dbt, and semantic layers.
• Translate strategy into scalable roadmaps and platform capabilities.
• Lead standards for SQL, Python, pipelines, and CI/CD across teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural alignment without people management.
• Partner with product owners, data stewards, and data scientists on reusable data products.
