Job summary

SHI is seeking a Principal Architect who will orchestrate delivery across data engineering, data visualization, data governance, and AI on large, multi-disciplinary engagements. This role also leads the practice maturation, establishing standards, accelerators, and advisory frameworks to scale delivery across SHI Services.

The candidate will be billable on engagements requiring depth or cross-discipline leadership while maintaining a focus on delivering repeatable, high-quality outcomes through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Ten or more years delivering enterprise data or AI solutions, including experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Expert-level depth in one of data engineering, data visualization, or data governance with working proficiency in at least two others.
• Experience taking a practice capability from assessment through an adopted standard, with concrete examples.
• Ability to lead technical delivery across more than one discipline on large or complex engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery approach on large, multi-disciplinary engagements spanning data engineering, data visualization, data governance, and AI.
• Orchestrate a unified solution approach across capability leads, integrating each discipline’s direction into a single delivery plan.
• Own delivery approach, including how work is structured, sequenced, staffed, and de-risked.
• Identify delivery risks early and intervene when engagement approaches drift in quality or coherence.
• Coach architects and consultants across disciplines on delivery approach, through a hands-on, player-coach leadership style.
