Job summary

SHI is seeking a Principal Architect who will lead delivery across data engineering, visualization, governance, and AI on large, multi-disciplinary engagements. The role orchestrates unified approaches across capability leads, owning delivery strategy, sequencing, and risk management.

The position requires extensive experience in enterprise data or AI projects, deep expertise in at least one discipline, and hands-on work with Microsoft data/AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
• Ten or more years delivering enterprise data or AI solutions, including consulting or professional services experience
• Expert-level depth in one data discipline with working proficiency in others to lead delivery and evaluate decisions
• Hands-on delivery experience within the Microsoft data/AI ecosystem (Fabric, Azure data services, Power BI, Purview, Copilot Studio, Foundry)

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery approach on large, multi-disciplinary engagements spanning data engineering, data visualization, data governance, and AI.
• Orchestrate a unified solution approach across capability leads, integrating each discipline’s direction into one coherent delivery plan.
• Own delivery approach and determine where technical decision points sit; de-risk engagements and maintain coherence across workstreams.
• Identify delivery risks early and intervene on engagements drifting on approach, quality, or coherence.
• Coach architects and consultants across disciplines on delivery approach, consulting judgment, and technical decision-making.
