Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be a critical member of our Cybersecurity Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivery, configuration, and operational support of some of our most critical security tools. Responsibilities include ensuring that our security tools, systems, and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. Rollout and support of our Secure Browser platform and additional security tools. Operational support and troubleshooting of the technologies supported and issue resolution.

This position serves as a subject matter expert which drives vision and results to enhance security posture within endpoints, Proxies, web technologies, and other business units as needed. Understanding and familiarity with SASE solutions is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the end-to-end technical deployment of Secure Browser across enterprise environments, collaborate with IT, Security, and End User Computing teams to align deployment strategies with business and compliance requirements, validate performance, compatibility, and user experience across diverse user segments.
  2. Optimize cross-functional partnership to successfully address customer requirements. Lead and organize large-scale analysis efforts spanning multiple departments. Use internal and external data resources to make strategic business decisions and persuade others. Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Anticipate stakeholder responses and address accordingly.
  3. Create strategy and design solutions for Endpoint Security, Enterprise Browser, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  4. Manage the deployment and maintenance of the Enterprise Browser across the organization.
  5. Guide and recommend processes for planning adversary engagement, deployment, and operations for Endpoint Security, DLP, and Enterprise Browser capabilities.
  6. Investigate security needs and recommend plans/resolutions. Implement, test, and monitor security improvements.
  7. Maintain visibility inside and outside of information security at the executive level. Interface with groups such as application support, engineering operations, finance, privacy, and risk management.
  8. Apply significant experience with technologies forming solutions necessary for endpoint security and web-based security controls to protect assets and the T-Mobile brand.
  9. Identify areas for development, seek expertise, stay abreast of trends, and lead initiatives to address gaps, including executing action plans.
  10. Demonstrate knowledge in building, testing, and implementing enterprise browser and endpoint defenses to disrupt adversaries.
  11. Mentor peers and junior team members in security technologies, solution design, SDLC, and customer interaction.
  12. Configure and test policies for web access, DLP controls, watermarking, and other security controls for enterprise users.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.

  1. 7-10 years of experience with security-related software or business process design.
  2. 4-7 years of experience as a project/team lead, with SDLC, and cross-functional solution design.
  3. 4-7 years of technical project management experience.
  4. Leadership experience.
  5. Subject matter expertise in multiple security areas.
  6. Experience with high-level architecture, security technologies, networking, web services, and SOA.
  7. Expertise in network and information security topics, including firewall policies, SSL certificates, vulnerability analysis, and mitigation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep knowledge of current security trends and best practices.
  • Ability to create specifications and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Professional integrity and collaboration skills.
  • Self-driven with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to author white papers, present at industry conferences, and influence industry standards.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, Venafi, MDM, cloud platforms, malware protection, APTs, privileged accounts, SIEM, IDS/IPS, scripting tools, and compliance regulations.
Certifications (Preferred):

CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CISA, or CISM certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $127,800 - $230,700. Corporate Bonus Target: 20%. Actual pay varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
