Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Melbourne, FL, seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Software Engineer (Cyber Engineer) to join the team on site. The software engineer will solve complex integration problems, interact with program management, suppliers, and government customers, and require an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years software engineering or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance; Top Secret obtainable.
• Experience with Agile; familiar with Git and Confluence.
• Linux and Windows software development experience; OOP languages.
• Remote debugging of hardware/software systems; network security basics.
• Experience with Firewalls, VPN, routers; Cisco/Palo Alto/Juniper.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the integration of new technologies into program systems.
• Analyze requirements and integrate into end-to-end architectures.
• Implement network configurations and coordinate hardening efforts.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Collaborate with team to integrate functionality across components.
• Support software working groups with the customer.
• Develop and share technical documentation and presentations.
