SUMMARY:

Designs, develops, and tests process control system applications utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Designing, developing, and testing hardware and software process control systems.
• Programming industrial control systems.
• Providing consultation on manufacturing and processing projects.
• Analyzing and reducing scrap to increase efficiencies.
• Creating detailed drawings and coordinating prototype building and testing.
• Writing and implementing maintenance procedures and performing maintenance as required.
• Utilizing electrical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Resolving project-related issues by collaborating with vendors, customers, shop personnel, and others.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Typically acquired through:

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university, technical or vocational school.
• Three to seven years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and business documents.
• Effective report writing and presentation skills.
• Mathematical proficiency in various analyses.
• Problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
