United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Principal Controls Engineer to lead development and validation for complex automation projects in a manufacturing setting. You will work with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize processes.

You will mentor colleagues, drive continuous improvement, and lead troubleshooting efforts while shaping robust control strategies and equipment validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics)
• 7+ years in a similar role (preferred)
• Strong PLC/HMI/robotics and automation exposure
• Experience with validation protocols and Lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for assigned projects and participate in continuous improvement
• Coordinate with manufacturing and other functions on regulatory compliance issues
• Lead validation activities and report results
• Perform trouble shooting and problem resolution for equipment/systems
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the plant and cross-functional teams
