Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Electrical Controls Engineer to lead design and deployment of advanced control systems for data center infrastructure and automation platforms. You will own architecture across PLCs, BMS, EPMS, and ATS, and drive testing, validation, and deployment in a global team.

The role requires 8+ years of control engineering experience, strong PLC/BMS skills, and expert knowledge of industry standards. Travel up to 25% may be required; remote or Austin, TX options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in control system design and implementation.
• Deep expertise in PLC programming and BMS/EPMS integration.
• Experience with ATS control, FAT/SAT, and testing in critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and own control system architecture across PLCs, BMS, EPMS, and ATS.
• Develop detailed control specifications, design docs, and interfaces.
• Lead FAT/SAT, testing, simulation, and commissioning for new projects.
• Read, create BOMs and electrical schematics; define control logic and comms.
• Collaborate with IT networks, facilities, and other engineering disciplines.
• Develop system-level simulations and digital twins for validation.
