interos.ai is seeking a Lead Computational Social Scientist to advance financial and economic modeling for global supply chains. You will drive development of risk applications across micro- and macro-use cases, analyze network dynamics, and translate results into clear insights for public and private sectors.

You will lead model-driven projects within the Applied AI team, collaborate with engineering and product, and communicate complex features to broad audiences while shaping the platform's

Qualifications

• PhD with 5+ years in quantitative social science or related field.
• Experience thriving in fast-paced cross-disciplinary environments, especially in startup/product teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative modeling across social or economic systems.
• Proven open-source research skills and experience supporting product development.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement computational social-science models for integration into the interos.ai platform.
• Apply quantitative methods to understand network structures, global supply chain dynamics, and economic and financial risk.
• Manage multiple projects and execute rigorous models under tight timelines, while communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and validate academic and industry models for product applicability.
• Translate complex frameworks into practical, scalable models used by public and private sector customers.
• Produce white papers, blogs, and external presentations.
• Stay current on global events, datasets, and advances relevant to financial markets and macro trends.
• Collaborate across Applied AI, Engineering, and Product to move models from concept to productization.
• Embrace startup speed to delivery and work within multi-disciplinary scrum teams.
