Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace unit seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will design, analyze, and optimize analog, digital, and RF circuits for CNS avionics, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver high‑performance solutions.

You will lead design reviews, conduct test and verification, and help transition to production while aligning with safety and quality priorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and RF circuit design; ability to translate system requirements to hardware specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and engineering support for CNS sustainment and new product development.
• Design, analyze, and optimize analog, digital, and RF circuits for avionics applications.
• Collaborate across power, digital, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout coordination, and design documentation.
• Support transition-to-production and provide hands-on troubleshooting for production teams.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical decision-making across the lifecycle.
• Manage multiple priorities and communicate technical information clearly.
• Develop technical proposals and deliver formal presentations.
