Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Principal CMM Applications Specialist to lead metrology for aerospace components, developing and optimizing CMM programs across Zeiss, Hexagon, and Mitutoyo platforms. You will interpret complex GD&T and drive First Article and in-process inspections.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on CMM programming, AS9100 familiarity, and strong troubleshooting. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve accuracy and throughput

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on CMM programming in precision machining.
  • Experience with Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo CMM platforms.
  • Expert user of PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent.
  • Advanced GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5) and complex blueprint interpretation.
  • Ability to inspect tight-tolerance machined components.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and accelerate CMM programs for complex aerospace components.
  • Lead First Article inspections (AS9102) and in-process testing.
  • Define inspection methods and validation plans for new product introductions.
  • Mentor junior inspectors and programmers; serve as technical reference.
  • Support audits to sustain AS9100 compliance.
