Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation of cloud-hosted environments supporting ESS software and customer deployments.

The role blends software engineering with operations to improve service reliability across AWS and Azure. You will lead cloud maturity assessments, define reliability standards, and collaborate with R&D, Architecture, CX, DevOps, PMO, and SecOps to drive improvements into roadmaps.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS production workloads.
• Strong grounding in observability, alerting, and incident response operations.
• Ability to translate product operational gaps into a prioritized backlog and drive improvements across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Cloud Maturity Assessments across AWS/Azure and translate findings into actionable backlogs.
• Define reliability standards for observability and run books; drive consistent practices across products.
• Facilitate readiness reviews with cloud providers and internal teams for day‑2 improvements.
• Implement SRE best practices: SLI/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and automation.
• Lead post‑incident reviews to measurably improve uptime and resilience.
