Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is hiring a Principal Security Architect for Cortex to shape our cloud defense strategy. You will drive intelligent remediation engines to secure cloud environments at scale, combining hands-on expertise with pragmatic security problem solving.

You will own the full product lifecycle, design remediation for multi-cloud platforms, and collaborate across product management, engineering, and research to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience securing complex cloud-native architectures in enterprise environments.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible with a focus on security.
• Demonstrated experience working with CNAPP Platforms.
• Experience reviewing, governing, or supporting network access management within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Identity and Access Management principles.
• Coding proficiency, preferably Python.
• Problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect remediation for cloud security issues for all major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, AliCloud).
• Develop in-product specialized agents, playbooks and automations to accelerate detection and respond to real-time threats.
• Own all phases of the product development cycle, from definition and design to implementation and testing.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across product management, engineering, and research.
