Role Overview

We are building and maintaining a cloud platform that spans multiple cloud service providers (CSPs) to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. As we expand our cloud capabilities, we are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead our multi-CSP strategy, drive cross-domain collaboration, and optimize our customer onboarding experience.

As a Principal Cloud Platform Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for our multi-cloud platform—focusing on seamless onboarding, platform extensibility, and cross-domain integration. You will bring deep technical expertise in cloud computing while maintaining an obsessive focus on customer needs to ensure we build a platform that is powerful, intuitive, and easy to adopt.

You will work closely with engineering, operations, security, enterprise architecture, segment IT and business teams to define and prioritize initiatives that enhance developer experience, scalability, and operational efficiency. This role requires a unique blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and customer empathy to deliver an exceptional cloud platform experience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and drive the multi-cloud product strategy, ensuring seamless interoperability across CSPs (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.).
  • Collaborate with domain teams to establish a unified cloud platform roadmap, aligning business objectives with technical feasibility.
  • Actively participate and drive decision-making around cloud-native services, workload orchestration, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of security, scalability, and reliability across CSPs.

Customer-Focused Innovation

  • Champion customer needs, ensuring an intuitive and seamless onboarding experience.
  • Engage with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and continuously refine product features.
  • Define and improve self-service capabilities, automation, and documentation for faster time-to-value.
  • Partner with UX and developer relations teams to simplify workflows and reduce cognitive load for customers.

Deep Technical Execution & Delivery

  • Leverage deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, APIs, infrastructure automation, and security to make informed product decisions.
  • Drive agile execution, prioritizing high-impact initiatives and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and DevOps to ensure platform scalability and security best practices.
  • Influence technical and business stakeholders to secure buy-in and investment.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work across engineering, security, compliance, and DevOps to ensure platform scalability and security best practices.
  • Drive alignment between product, operations, and customer support to continuously improve service reliability.
  • Define and measure key success metrics (activation rates, onboarding efficiency, platform adoption, etc.).
  • Effectively collaborate with a diverse audience ranging including engineers, architects, executives, technical and non-technical customers/partners.

Qualifications

Use your skills to make an impact

  • Deep technical expertise in cloud computing, with hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP services, including networking, security, compute, data and storage.
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a focus on cloud platforms, multi-cloud environments, or PaaS/SaaS.
  • Proven track record of customer centric approaches—demonstrated ability to deeply understand customer pain points and drive innovative solutions.
  • Experience with onboarding workflows, developer tools, and automation in cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a complex enterprise setting.
  • Excellent data-driven decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively build trust and rapport with diverse set of audiences
  • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with identity management (IAM, SSO, RBAC) and security best practices in multi-cloud setups.
  • Hands-on background in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud architecture.
