Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Principal Cloud FinOps Analyst to lead cloud spend optimization across engineering, product, and operations. You will translate complex requirements into practical cost solutions, influence architecture, and drive delivery excellence for a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.

The role emphasizes visibility into cloud spend, tagging practices, forecasting, and spend anomaly investigations, with remote US-based eligibility and full-time employment.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of FinOps experience with cloud providers (AWS preferred).
  • Strong SQL skills for exploratory data analysis and billing data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop visibility dashboards for cloud spend by product/feature.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to improve tagging for reporting accuracy.
  • Forecast and model cloud spend using roadmaps and sales projections.
  • Establish spend alarms and investigate spend incidents.
  • Analyze unit economics and track relevant metrics for leadership.
  • Document findings and communicate actionable insights on spending.

This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.
