Job summary

Promevo is seeking a Principal Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering advanced Google Cloud-based solutions. You will bridge strategy and hands-on delivery, shaping architecture and mentoring engineers across FE/BE and cloud domains.

In this hybrid, high-visibility role, you will drive AI-enabled infrastructure, guide architectural reviews, and ensure successful enterprise engagements while fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, data science, or software engineering.
• Proven track record managing senior/principal-level engineers.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes (GKE), serverless, and IaC (Terraform).
• Excellent communication for translating complex concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience balancing billable delivery targets with team management responsibilities.
• Active Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Experience leading internal Gen AI upskilling initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team, including Principal Cloud Architects and Software Engineers.
• Drive AI-driven infrastructure initiatives and scalable cloud architectures.
• Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and governance of DevOps and security practices.
• Collaborate with pre-sales to scope complex engagements and validate feasibility.
• Promote continuous learning and certification paths for the team.
