Job summary

Code and Theory is seeking a Principal Engineer to guide architecture and technical direction while leading a matrixed team of DevOps, infrastructure, and data engineers. This hands-on leadership role will set architectural vision, raise engineering quality, and drive AI-enabled production workflows across backend and data platforms.

You’ll shape backend systems, evolve data pipelines, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable, reliable software across a global client base.

Qualifications

Deep cloud architecture expertise with mastery of one major provider and ability to reason about multi-cloud environments.
Strong backend development background with production systems experience.
Broad data engineering knowledge across ingestion, transformation, warehousing.
DevOps mindset focused on quality, efficiency, and flow, leveraging AI.

Responsibilities
