Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead site development projects for world-class manufacturing facilities. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with construction managers, and ensure regulatory permits are secured while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of site development and civil engineering in manufacturing sectors, esp. F&B/CPG.
• Experience with regulatory permitting processes at multiple levels.
• Proven project leadership and delivery of site development projects.
• Experience reviewing construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydro CAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and finalization of site development projects.
• Foster client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Oversee site development coordination with construction PM, expansions, and renovations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and permit approvals.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality work.
• Manage budgets, costs, risks, and quality assurance.
• Prepare detailed project reports and client communications.
• Support business development through client relationships and proposals.
