Principal Civil Engineer - Elko, NV or Reno, NV

SRK Consulting

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice providing globally integrated services to the mining and metals sector.

We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer.

Responsibilities:

1. Execution and oversight of civil design for water, mine water, waste, and infrastructure projects.
2. Project management of technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
3. Overseeing conceptual through detailed design and permitting processes.
4. Preparation and review of engineering calculations, models, and methods.
5. Client interface, site visits, and inspections as necessary.
6. Engagement in the development and advancement of SRK’s engineering practices.
7. Participation in business development activities.
8. Mentorship of junior staff.
9. Other duties as required.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or related field.
2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Nevada or ability to obtain it.
3. Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry; consulting experience preferred.
4. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater, and environmental specialists.
5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and writing skills.
7. Proficiency in civil engineering design software and methodologies.
