Metro Associates in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineering Designer to lead grading and site design for landmark land development projects. You will guide projects from concept through final plan preparation, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in land development or 8 years in lieu, with a BSCE, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and a drive for mentorship and professional growth within Arizona.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of land development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or equivalent.
• Experience developing grading plans from concept to final plans.
• Arizona experience preferred.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency required.
• EIT preferred; AZ PE license within 12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop grading plans from concept through final construction documents.
• Prepare subdivision and land development maps and plans.
• Perform roadway design, drainage design, and earthwork calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Support projects through design and approval processes.
• Apply local and regional development requirements, preferably in AZ.
