Job summary

Metro Associates in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Project Manager Civil Engineer – Land Development to lead residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will oversee design, permitting, and approvals, mentor teams, and build relationships with developers, public agencies, and clients.

On-site role with some remote flexibility; AZ-PE license or eligibility required, 10+ years of land development leadership experience, and strong business development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Active Arizona Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years of experience managing land development projects, especially single-family residential.
• Proven leadership, client relationships, and team mentoring abilities.
• Strong understanding of permitting and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted advisor and primary contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guide design, scope, schedules, budgets, and overall progress.
• Oversee land development projects from due diligence through approvals.
• Mentor engineers and junior project managers.
• Lead business development and client retention efforts.
