Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating seeks a Principal Certification Engineer in the United States to provide certification testing expertise and lead critical engineering projects for aircraft seats. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, design validation, and cost/weight optimization in collaboration with OEMs and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in an engineering position in aerospace, including 5 years in engineering or project management for interior products.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams during design, development and testing/certification.
• Resolve intricate engineering challenges and lead cross-functional teams on design, manufacturing and certification.
• Advise on TSO/E-TSO and regulatory requirements for certification.
• Coordinate with global engineering management to align testing processes and implement best practices.
• Contribute to risk analysis and mitigation plans for technical risk areas.
• Stay current with FAA/EASA parts and certification procedures for aircraft seats.

Education
