Principal Category Manager - Mechanical AP1000

This position is based in Cranberry Township, US, with 15-20% international travel expected. It is a US-only remote role.

About the Role

The Principal Category Manager is the supply chain expert for Mechanical Equipment AP1000 supporting Energy Systems. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading category strategies, and supporting bid and proposal efforts to maximize value and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with suppliers for Mechanical Equipment AP1000 projects.
• Interface with project teams and supply chain to align objectives.
• Develop and execute category strategies to improve Total Cost of Ownership, mitigate risks, and ensure supply continuity.
• Lead negotiations and manage preferred supplier relationships.
• Analyze industry trends and develop insights for continuous improvement.
• Conduct business reviews and develop presentations for stakeholder engagement.
• Achieve organizational metrics related to cost, delivery, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of category management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project; SAP & Ariba preferred.
• MBA is a plus.
